Welcome to Croc Territory in 2023

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT:
30th March 2023

The Port Douglas Crocs will begin a new, exciting era in 2023 at the hands of two former AFL stars with Coach Jared Petrenko and Assistant Coach Nick Salter alongside Crocs veteran, Lee Staple.

We are thrilled to start this new beginning under new leadership both on and off the field and we want to encourage our members and non-members to get around the club this year for what is shaping up to be a huge year with a number of exciting events locked in.

As much as we love to watch the club win on the field, it’s the volunteers behind the scenes that make this club what it is, and on behalf of myself and the committee, I want to thank each and every one of them for all the efforts they do in helping off the field and for volunteering their time to the good of the club.

With a new season, comes new recruits and the Port Douglas community would like to send a warm welcome the new guns and their better halves that we have brought up to the beautiful tropics who we hope are all settling in well. We extend the invitation to please reach out to the club or the committee if there is anything you need to make for a smooth transition into your new home.

The club promotion behind Pink Sports Day has continued to grow every year and we have now hit over $100,000 raised for Breast Cancer Foundation.

The club will also throw its support behind Mental Health Round in the Round 11 clash against the Saints at Griffiths Park – another cause close to our hearts that we will be whole-heartedly supporting.

It is important that we continue to get behind all of our players, staff and club members and make sure that no matter what, when or why, we are all here for one another.

Bring on 2023 – The Year of the Crocs!

Barry Lea
President
